Amore Pacific and Sulwhasoo are successful skincare and cosmetics brands in Asia and they approached us to create a direct mailer that advertised both brands because they are owned by the same company.
Although owned by the same parent company, both brands had quite different branding. Because of this, the biggest challenge was integrating both brands in a seamless way. While Amore Pacific looks more science-based, Sulwhasoo’s brand is much more natural.
Rather than try to merge both brands, we designed the mailer in a way where the fold actually separated both brands, creating a natural-feeling separation between both brands. While we were successful in separating them, the included message was still easy to understand and didn’t seem out of place even though 2 brands were featured.
